Teacher is horrible and should be removed from teaching. Humiliating a child in front of the entire class like that? And aggressively jabbing at her face? Unacceptable. |

The Union Flag is it's official title. It's commonly known as the Union Jack, despite that being technically incorrect.
Just like The Clock Tower at the Houses of Parliament is commonly known as Big Ben, which is equally technically incorrect (Big Ben is the name of a bell inside the tower, not the name of the tower).
We're a weird lot, to be sure. |

@DuckBoy87: It is Union Jack, not Flag. Other then that, I am guessing you are right. They should go with the St George though, since English is from England and Scotland/Wales have their own native langerage. Fire the teacher then change the flag! |

@whodat6484, actually a Jack is a specific type of flag that is only flown while at sea; however, your point remains valid: why is the Union Flag shown overtop?
I would venture to guess that, with the English words on the board, that they are learning to speak English. |
