Monday, September 03, 2012 8:52:18 PM And those were just the most obvious lies, they're just so many. Even that Ryan guy keeps lying, blaming Obama for a GM plant that closed... 5 months before he was even president. Or his criticism of how Obama dealt with the Simpson-Bowles dept panel when Ryan himself was part of the S-B commission and rejected any urgent report.... As long as Americans are just too lazy or stupid to check the facts they'll have people like Palin, Bachmann, Santorum, Romney etc.. that are taken seriously. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 8:40:51 PM Is Obama a muslim ? Was he born outside the US ? Is he a communist ? A left extremist ? Is he against guns or freedom? Does he favor the rich ?Did he say that if you've got a business you didn't build it? etc... The answer is no but people still are trusting the party that made up all those lies... Btw do people actually realize that Romney wants to raise the taxes on 95% of the population and give a tax cut to the richest 5% in a time of crisis... ?

Monday, September 03, 2012 8:25:27 PM I think Obama would get more votes if he weren't so secretive about his past. Be it his association with Black Liberation Theology, his work with Acorn, or his college records. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 7:49:31 PM @VirtualParty Isn't it funny how one candidates life has to be an opened book but your racist if you ask about the others? The standard should be equal. Both of these men have opened thier lives more than most people would care to. We should get off thier backs. If you press the matter on one, both should be obligated to answer. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 6:59:57 PM One more reason not to watch TV. The other reason being that 99% of tv is reality shows and sitcoms that aren't funny. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 6:53:14 PM Just do what we do in England: elect someone from Eton (aka Prime Minister School) and moan when they do anything. Every so often elect someone with a different colour tie just for the fun of it. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 6:08:23 PM Really. Who do you vote for when you are for women's reproductive rights, for gay marriage, support immigrant amnesty, and for health care reform, but want a balanced budget, and non-socialist health care reform? |

Monday, September 03, 2012 6:02:32 PM ...And the moderates are left wondering whether to vote for the left extremist or the right extremist. Who the hell am I supposed to vote for? I guess Mickey Mouse this year. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 4:07:32 PM This sums it up pretty nicely, although I think Obama's making a slightly stronger argument here. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 3:15:54 PM @SmagBoy1 I think we can give Bush credit for the two wars. I mean, we've credited him with everything else bad, right? And he did start those wars. Obama gets credit for ending one of them for sure. As for the landmark healthcare law, the fruits are yet to be seen from that. And yes, our public relations with Iran are awesome, but what of our two greatest allies Great Britain and Israel? He's shafting those guys. I'm sure by my name you've realized that I'm am not an Obama supporter, but I'm also not a partisan hack like so many here. I judge for myself. When one candidates history is off limits and we here how the other one was a bully in high school ( 45 years ago) I get a little suspicious. Any one with a brain should. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 2:19:56 PM [quote">Although, Romney has a better track record of successes...[/quote"> RytWing, what do you mean? I'm not trying to be a smartass. Romney was one of the founders of a very successful venture capital company, he turned around the Salt Lake City Olympic and he was a successful governor. Obama has passed landmark healthcare legislation, acted as commander in chief of a military involved in two wars and operations that've crippled AQ and killed OBL, brought our foreign relations from dismal to good (even recent polls show his numbers, while slipping from huge initial numbers to be far, far higher than the previous president's: here.) So, not to dismiss what you said. You're right, both are accomplished men, but I don't see how Romney's track record is "better". |

Monday, September 03, 2012 2:17:20 PM I don't really care or understand american politics but from what I have seen, Mitt Romney sounds like an absolute idiot. Infact they all do.. What happened to that Ron Paul guy? He seemed the most sensible one. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 1:23:07 PM Yeah. This sums it up. Although, Romney has a better track record of successes, Obama is the president, and that is a huge accomplishment. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 11:55:24 AM I wish there were no political parties. A few people just get up and say "I want the job and this is what I would change if I got it." If you agree, vote for me. Period. No big money influence. No religious influence other than what the individual believes. But this will never happen because it would take the politicians to make this happen and they would never give these things up. |

Monday, September 03, 2012 10:30:11 AM @SmagBoy1: Exactly, it's the sad truth about full-on democracy: the voting public (that is, everyone declared an adult) is easily persuaded, bullied, and some times even bought for (just look at the current state of the mexican presidential elections). The idea that the population is able to pick their representatives is corrupted into a popularity game, where there's no such thing as bad publicity. Sad but true. |
