We'rwe closer to the point when FDR called out the thieves by name and made them stand and deliver. Reagan was an actor and delivered his scripted speeches well. He'd rehearsed them all. But he was one of the worst presidents we ever had. |

Only one problem Chuck, there is no real Christian to vote for. Obama only said he was for votes first time around, and I wouldn't trust a Mormon as far as I could throw one. |

Honeypie, name 1, just 1 *specific* *policy* that reps came up with recently that served minority interests in any way. Bonus points if you can find one that didn't demonize, otherize and stigmatize them in the process.
Personally I can't decide which rep policy best did just those very things the best, is it the witch hunting for illegals in elementary schools one? Or is it the doing their d@mndest to suppress black voter turnout one?
That must be what makes reps so consistently gosh darned popular amongst minority voters.
(Oh and sweetie, if you think I'm racist then you're a grade A crank). |

Not to mention SB1070 and it's cousins across the South, the farce that is "Self Deportation" as an immigration policy from the Romney team, and his consequent nil latino support. Oh and Birtherism too, lest I forget.
You have to do a lot more to not be a racist party, certainly more than crass tokenism. You have to actually represent the interests of minorities, not cater to aged white resentment. |

Reps don't care about conservation, the environment only has value insomuch as it provides raw material for Profit. We see this attitude from them constantly.
And don't give me the line that just becuase they allow some token minorities that makes them not racist. For a party that's made no secret of the Southern Strategy for the past 50 yrs that's a load of Bull. Leaving aside for the moment that Rice became R in an era when Reps classically the party of Lincoln would do battle with Dixiecrats, West and Cain are so out of their heads that as one black author put it, "They're a modern day minstrel show for the entertainment of the base," Haley's childhood included the experience of adults not knowing where to categorize her racially since she was neither "black" nor "white", and Jindal looks so ill at ease in his own skin on tape because he knows that he has more hurdles to surmount with his base than any white R would ever have.

Ok Smag, Obama says that the republican want dirty air and dirty water. Do you honestly believe that? What kind of platform would that be? Find me the video of a republican saying that cause I've seen the video of Obama claiming it. And then find me the video of the racist tea partier. To say that the republicans are racist is a lie. Don't think so? Explain Condaleeza Rice, Allen West, Herman Cain, Bobby Jindal, and Nikki Haley. Are a bunch of racists going to vote for these people? Mind you, most of these people are from the south where racism is supposed to be more prevalent. |
