Absolutely correct, ST! This country started out as a constitutional republic under the rule of law. It has since degenerated into a crass democracy under the rule of a parasitic mob that pisses on the constitution whenever it stands between them and someone else's money. |

Actually, there is fairly wide consensus that without US financial and economic/industrial aid, Russia would not have been able to defeat Germany and Japan sans the US. There is also wide consensus that the US would not have been able to defeat both Japan and Germany sans Russian help as the US would not have "stomached" the loss of life.
@LordJim: If Joe McCarthy says so, it's good enough for OldOllie.
Many of McCarthy's concerns have been validated. Most agree that he is, at very least, partially vindicated. Seriously - read into it. |

The only thing worth pointing out is that he said nationalism was a failed concept. The problem here is that we could get the dreaded new world order too, which to me is far scarier. |

This speech holds true today. We have lost our way. The love of humanity is within all of us, we can all harness the kingdom of God is in all of us if we choose to. It's unnatural to hate, and we should work for unity, to love one another, be honourable and excellent. So that our progress won't be hindered by the chains of hate and oppression.
This speech is also a good way to see the possibility of how science and religion will work hand in hand in the end. |
