Saturday, September 01, 2012 12:41:20 PM andrew i graduated from highschool 3ish years ago, lived in WI my whole life. i dont think i ever, EVER, had a class with less than 20 students. So really, i think your graph is inaccurate, but, only in that the truth is slightly even worse lol. |

Friday, August 31, 2012 9:39:12 PM Andrew, I have taught in several countries, The US has way smaller teacher/pupil ratios than most. I was really surprised. The scariest thing is that some of the countries with very high ratios are the same places we all want to be like educationally, Japan for example. I just don't understand it as I am totally in favor of smaller classes because experience tells me that they produce better results. Statistics, however, seem to contradict it. |

Friday, August 31, 2012 3:11:13 PM 32 would be quite low in the UK, especially at primary level (8 years old and under) |

Friday, August 31, 2012 2:27:58 PM Poor management on the part of one school (or schoolboard) does not constitute overcrowding in every classroom. (Thanks for the graph, Andrew.) |

Friday, August 31, 2012 2:05:35 PM That can't be real! This has to violate some sort of fire codes or safety regulations. I would not let my kid sit on top of or underneath another kid. Couldn't they just arrange the desks better? |
