guess he didnt have a spear tire
Actually, the boot is designed to cover the lug nuts and prevent you from removing the wheel. As you can see from my post below, it doesn't always work, but it is very difficult if not impossible to remove a regular-sized wheel with a boot on it. |

When I was in HS, my next door neighbor got a "Denver Boot" on his VW microbus. He got a ride home, got some tools, went back, and was able to take the whole wheel off, boot and all, with a combination wrench. He threw the whole thing in the back, and put on the spare. After he got home with it, he deflated the tire and was able to get it off (it was apparently designed for much larger wheels.) He didn't know what to do with it after that, so he just kept it in his room. For all I know, he still has it. |

Translation----- man saws off clamp. Not nearly as interesting as a man sawing off the boot- which would mean their luggage would fall out, and take a lot of work, hours probably.....

So now he owes for the unpaid tickets and the cost of the boot.
Of course since he obviously has no plans to pay for either I suppose it's a moot point.
I wonder what else he doesn't pay? |
