Tuesday, August 28, 2012 11:27:46 AM @MeGrendel How could you conceivably compare an eyesore like Mt. Rushmore that was created with dynamite and jackhammers to ancient beauties that were painstakingly hand carved with nothing more than stone tools? That's a perfect example of what's wrong with the educational system these days. |

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 9:07:44 AM At least we can all agree that we should spell it 'laser' and not lazer or lazor. Unless they've changed the spelling of 'stimulated' since I last looked? |

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 7:44:42 AM Antagonizer, We could argue on the ethics of surface mining as the existential antithesis against our primal nature... But with all due respect (not really) you sir, are the twat. This is simply a relief. It is a far-cry from "defacing nature." The ecological impact of a relief versus barefaced stone side would be negatable (the flow of rain water might be changed, but it's unlikely to make any real impact). Additionally, relief carving is one of humanities earliest art forms. Would you say that the cavemen who carved into wood and stone were defacing nature also?

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 7:18:41 AM @MechBFP The Stone mountain carving is more than a "small bit of rock". It measures 190 feet x 90 feet... Mt. Rushmore covers 1,278.45 acres and the Crazy Horse monument in South Dakota is a puny 563 feet high and measure 641 feel long. That, my good sir, makes you the stupid twat. |

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 6:06:27 AM antagonizer, ya what a terrible crime to nature chiseling out a small bit of rock on the side of a mountain. However will the Earth ever recover. Stupid twat. |

Tuesday, August 28, 2012 5:39:23 AM It's called, "we have an issue with leaving nature the hell alone", and if you're looking for defaced mountains, the US is the place to find them. |

Monday, August 27, 2012 8:10:15 PM Nigga please. That's Stone Mountain Park. Been there twice when I was a youngin'. Lazer show plays "Devil Went Down to Georgia" and "Great Balls of Fire" (and others), if I remember correctly. Been to a wedding there too (the surrounding park area, not the mountain). People also love putting pennies down on the train track that goes around the park. Ahhhhh the South. |
