I just learned to stop correcting people back in the 80's when I heard someone mispronouncing 'debt' as 'debbit' and the next thing I knew, it was a listed word as 'debit.'
In the 90's I was worried that, by now, I'd have to learn to speak like people in the movie 'Demolition Man.'
