Friday, August 24, 2012 1:44:16 PM DrProfessor, that's true. The media has been ginning this all up. For example, outside my apartment a while back there was a triple homicide - out on the street. There were very few reports on it. It wasn't an exciting story - probably because it was just another 3 gangsters who got killed. But what annoys me most about the media reports is when they say "semi-automatic pistol". It's like....duh? |

Friday, August 24, 2012 1:04:13 PM @andrew155--it seems to me that the recent trend in "spree shootings" is indicative of how famous the batman shooting got. The media loves nothing more than a good tragedy to ride out. Remember the "zombie breakout" earlier this summer? Same thing. Big story breaks, then the news dredges up any remotely similar story to nab viewers. |

Friday, August 24, 2012 11:25:38 AM It seems to me that the recent trend in spree shootings is indicative of some sort of civil strife and unrest manifesting itself. This isn't normal stuff. |
