Thursday, August 23, 2012 7:06:14 PM I'm also a donor and agree with everyone else. They can use my body for whatever helps the most, I'm not going to be needing it anymore. |

Thursday, August 23, 2012 5:10:40 PM I agree. I'm listed as a donor and I intend to donate whatever's left to my alma mater's med school. I think being buried or stuck in a mausoleum is a total waste of valuable space. If anything, I would have my name on a small plaque on a bench or building brick I donated to a favorite place or something. I carry a donor card and I'm registered on the donor database (in case I die in such a way that the card in my wallet is absent or destroyed). After they've harvested any useful bits, I want the rest is to go for research or medical training, i.e. something else useful. But my family can have a grave or a mausoleum or a tree or whatever if they like. I won't care - I'll be dead. So whatever they do will be for them, so it's up to them. I won't care if the remains of my corpse are humped by necrophiliacs or eaten by dogs or whatever. |

Thursday, August 23, 2012 3:47:42 PM That man is amazing for helping that poor family cope. What are the chances of losing a son on Christmas like that? |

Thursday, August 23, 2012 2:51:12 PM @blazingbird-- It's kinda bullsh*t, though. She goes and thanks God for this...what about the surgeons who performed the transplant, and the doctors making sure the heart continues to stay healthy? Where are their thanks? |

Thursday, August 23, 2012 1:25:35 PM I'm a donor. On my driver's license and I carry a card. As for ruining the moment,it's pure science. And science is wonderful. |
