Sunday, August 26, 2012 1:13:29 AM only problem I see is that the megaphone will not be able to amplify those kind of frequencies. But otherwise - great idea! |

Tuesday, August 21, 2012 7:11:37 AM We used the high pitch tones for our cell phones in my class. The teacher never noticed a thing. |

Monday, August 20, 2012 10:23:40 PM BTW, If you're old (like me), and you want to hear with these things sound like, just drop the file into Audacity and slow it down by half (1 octave). Some of them are really obnoxious, like squealing brakes or fingernails on a chalkboard. |

Monday, August 20, 2012 4:24:06 PM they actually already used high Khz sounds on railway stations to scare off kids... It's called the mosquito device. here's the article from the company that sells them. I know they were tested here in The Netherlands too, but there were too many complaints. |

Monday, August 20, 2012 12:50:46 PM It's not going to do anything when kids already use this pitch as a ringtone so they know when they get texts and such without teachers knowing. Found Here |

Monday, August 20, 2012 12:28:01 PM Well if parents would get off their lazy asses and actually teach there kids common courtesy and respect for other people, maybe teachers wouldn't have to resort to such measures. |

180 kids? I find it hard to believe she's the only teacher on "the team". |

Monday, August 20, 2012 12:04:18 PM I got an idea, how about I do something that I think is "humane" and classify it as such to assuage others who might not completely agree with me as anything that can be defined as "torturing" someone elses kid is bound to draw some amount of criticism... then how about I post this brilliant plan online on a social networking site with my name, picture, and other pertinent info.. because, I don't see how this could land me in any trouble what-so-ever. |
