Reason #406 to abolish public schools.
Schools being public isn't the problem. Not sure if I've ever heard of something like that happening here. I'd blame prudish whiny people who enjoy being offended by everything. |

One to the people referring to its her fault for mirroring twilight no one but the news channel said that. So it may of not even been intentional. I know the saying how the hell do i know existed way before that.
Two i highly doubt any college will deny her.
Third there are many many many MANY people getting high school diplomas that in no way shape or form deserve them now a days(looks at some of idiots who get in on athletic scholarships and barely pass bs classes) Sad she is getting hassled over the word hell. Even funnier giving their mascot. |

Sounds like the School Board wants to get sued. They don't have a leg to stand on. Who in this day and age gets offended by "hell". I'd think the adults would be relieved she didn't use something worse. |

That is ridiculous. No college would deny her anyway. She jsut needs to talk with the dean of whatever school she wants to get into and explain the situation, show the dean her scores, and i'm sure the dean would understand and perhaps even write a nasty letter to the school. |

Anyone who has a 4.0 knows that so much of that last .3 is just jumping through the inane little hoops set up by people less intelligent that you. Never stand on principle when your academic career is on the line. Suck it up, apologize, and never look back at that silly little provincial town. |

Saying hell got dirty looks from teachers but was not considered a bad word. For the sake of college I'd suck it up and apologize anyways, especially after all her hard work but I can also understand why she doesn't want to. She shouldn't have to. |

What exactly are the laws regarding issuing of diplomas anyway? I'm sure it varies by state, but to withhold a diploma because of something that asinine you must have some legal grounds to, right? |

Seriously though, the school board members are being ridiculous. There is no good reason she shouldn't receive her diploma. I wonder if anyone in the audience was offended. If so, too drating bad. I think the students should refuse to start classes in Sept until she gets it. |

This is so moronic on the part of the principal it is hard to believe. A short word that is found in his (presumably) precious Bible, and simply means the counterpoint to heaven, is enough to merit withholding a diploma?! What the hell does he have for brains? |
