Saturday, August 18, 2012 10:11:36 PM I remember watching the 3D makeup forever ago thinking it would never happen. Pretty awesome to see it done in real life. |

Saturday, August 18, 2012 5:29:21 PM Like zazuch said, PBS used to show computer animation of machines like this. For the first little bit of this, I didn't relize this was real. That is very cool, and definatly impressive. |

Saturday, August 18, 2012 10:12:42 AM The video could have done without all the text over what you're supposed to be looking at. :p |

Ok, so this is awesome, but the video itself sucked. Cutting to other shots is not always good, and the 'fake balls' that bounced on the words were distracting with the real ones. I want one long shot from above to watch this thing in action...

Saturday, August 18, 2012 9:53:48 AM @Barnk They are plastic sensors linked to notes. When you hit the pad you get the note associated with that sensor. I assume how it works hence the led and the clearly seen computer chips in the plastic. Think of it like a synthesizer/electronic keyboard button as every paddle seen here. I remember watching this on pbs and going man that would be cool if it was real. Now here it is haha. |

Saturday, August 18, 2012 9:48:03 AM It seems to have a soundtrack, though; you can't get sounds like that from plastic. But nice synchrony on the balls. |
