Loads of gulls like that here, bigger than that too, but I've never seen one pluck a live bird off like that. They usually just eat crap from bins and the like. |

Coincidentally, at work today a seagull chased one of my coworkers. He's an ethiopian kid who didn't know what it was and was terrified of this meat-hungry "goose" he called it. I laughed, the boss laughed. He was terrified by it.
P.S. The gull won, it got his sandwich. |

saved a baby crow from a cat today. he actually ran towards me. so i told the cat to pick on someone his own size. the crows thanked me. they will prolly save me one day. |

Its Poland so larus (argentatus) cachinaans aka Caspian or pontic gull is a possibilty. However so are both argenteus and argentatus races of herring gull and hybrids...
Would need a good clear shot of the primary pattern and a gull expert (which Im not) to be sure.. |
