Thursday, August 09, 2012 8:49:12 PM Why in the hell don't computer manufacturers put in a damned lint screen like the one on the dryer? It ain't that hard. Hell if they were *really* smart, they'd incorporate a Damned Air Filtration System with a removable element. Meh. |

Thursday, August 09, 2012 4:21:42 PM I used to tear-down and rebuild PCs and such for an electronics recycling firm in our community. You'd be surprised what you find. I've seen many a computer like this and worse. Nothing like showing up bleary eyed early on a Monday morning to find a mummified mouse or other small mammal in the housing to get your week going.

Thursday, August 09, 2012 3:57:52 PM Had to service a supermarket's POS pc's once - discovered they'd all been set up with the extraction vents against the side of the cupboard. They looked pretty much like this picture, but with more flakes of onion skin. |

Thursday, August 09, 2012 12:24:08 PM Last time I gave my keyboard a good shake, enough weed fell out to make a couple of spliffs. That was a good day. |

Thursday, August 09, 2012 9:14:50 AM I opened my comp the other day and was expecting something like this. Other than some dustballs stuck in the ventilation the cabinet was actually kinda clean. I now have a new "respect" for people who actually manage to get it as dirty as on the picture. |

Thursday, August 09, 2012 8:39:59 AM Smoker most likely. But as mentioned before, very poor airflow design, the air is supposed to go through the fins of the heatsink
