WTF? He didn't pick his name. He did, however, bust his ass and his brains to get a PhD in hard science and land a faculty position at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. (Berkeley's social science departments are somewhere to the left of Chairman Mao, but their REAL science departments are world class.)

its not racist because gymnastics isn't a predominantly black sport, and its not like they made the commercial after Gabby won. not to mention its a MALE monkey, doing rings, something girls don't do.
FYI this isn't racist either, its a continuation of the meme, "poo tyrone, get it together," and just happens to look just like the guy on jeopardy. there's a very good chance it IS him as it is very hard to get on jeopardy, something I would expect a biologist [student] from Berkeley could do. |
