Scott A. Smith, 37, of North Ridgeville will be charged with four counts of carrying weapons for the knives and one count of carrying a concealed weapon for the gun, detective Lt. Ray Arcuri said today.
He will also be charged with having weapons under disability, Arcuri said, explaining that Smith is on prescription medication and is, therefore, considered drug-dependent.

He didn't kill anybody, and he had more handguns at his home,not on his person.Seems legit,but now be prepared to have theater security sticking their fingers up your ass and a real long line to get in.Probably raise the price of snacks and drinks too! |

@insane_al Sorry, I wasn't thinking. I forgot all state's gun laws are different. I was stating Indiana law, and we have some of the most lax gun laws. I have no clue to what Ohio's gun laws are. |

Can't you picture it now? somebody is going to go to the movies to shoot up the place then they are going to see a sign that says "no guns allowed" then they will just turn away and not do it. BRILLIANT! I feel safer already. |

@ Madman: Croker Park is lined with the state required signage prohibiting any deadly weapons. Even driving into the parking lot with a gun in the car is a violation of the law. The signage is part of the Ohio CCW laws.
This guy is a douche with some serious issues. I think this is more of a horribly thought out cry for help, if it was thought out at all considering hes could have armed himself much better than he did. |

@McGovern - As long as it is not on federal grounds (a court house, city/county buildings, schools) that states no firearms on the premises, it's legal to have on one you if you're licensed. If it's a private establishment, like a movie theater or something that has a policy of no weapons, it is still "legal" to have a firearm on you. However, the owner/manager can have you removed from the premises if you are in violation of their personal policies. |

Ya I'm just wondering how that works if you're in a "gun free zone" with a permit to carry what you would get charged with. Laws wierd like that. Disability thing could be a red flag but hard to say with no details. |

That many knives serves no purpose. You're just asking to draw attention, as well as with two additional clips. I see nothing wrong with taking a concealed weapon to a theater though, as long as you're licensed to (which he was not). I took my firearm when I went and saw The Dark Knight Rises a few days after the premier. Don't worry though, I'm fully licensed to carry concealed :D
How is in the middle of the back row a "tactical position" though? Wouldn't he want to be towards the isle in the back? That way he wouldn't have people on both sides coming at him if they attacked back. Plus he only had one Glock and two additional clips of 17 rounds... that's only a total of 51 rounds. Not exactly a lot, given it's only a 9mm, if you want to kill a mass amount of people |
