This make me think of being in a group of religious people who all of the sudden decide it's time to stop everything, hold hands, and "pray." Damnit, I'll reluctantly join your hand holding jerk circle, but I will not bow my head down and pretend I know the lord's prayer. I know some people get pretty offended, but come on, you're asking me to bow my head to a unicorn and talk to thin air. |

Like I said in the olympic uniforms post, I feel like the vast majority of the athletes there feel the same way Kobe Bryant did in his Chris Collinsworth interview. It's "cool" to represent your country in a field you excel at. Where as most the people who cover such events just want their face on TV and want people to listen to what they have to say, even if all that is is questions to for the athletes. |
