I can't stand it when people criticize exploration.. We've got most of the planet covered, it is time to go elsewhere. Imagine what people have thought all through history when someone had the bright idea to sail across an ocean, or venture off into unknown lands. It's really no different. It's our nature to explore, if we went against our desire to know what else is out there we would still be stuck in Africa. |

Future programs are slashed, but the mars rovers launched some time ago so they are still funded. |
