@ledzepployd while i do not doubt that there are some evil b@stards out there who would do such a thing, you dont know the small town mentality we have here. things like this just dont happen. we do have some history of police brutality, but nothing to this scale. and it isnt that hard to maneuver in handcuffs. did anyone see how skinny this guy was? if not put on very tight, he could easily shoot himself. oh, and there was something not mentioned in the story posted: there were two other guys arrested along with the one who shot himself. they didnt have warrants, but he did, so they were placed in a separate squad car next to the guy who shot himself. also, i was told that the wife of another officer posted a video on youtube of her blow drying her hair while handcuffed. oh so its impossible to do anything while handcuffed, eh? did everyone forget about Houdini and a plethora of other escape artists who can wriggle their way out of anything? oh wait i forgot. they're magic. |

its because they have unmarked guns in the back of their cars, so when somebody accedently gets shot, they can just plant a gun on him
dont think it doesnt happen, there was this huge coverup in the chicago police department, they found unregistered firearms in the trunks of numerous cop cars then a few weeks later they "raided a drug warehouse" where they found tons of unregistered guns blah blah blah |

HEY EVERYBODY!!! Let's put in our two cents of pure speculation based on a short article that has little information in it! My guess is that the victim had just figured out cold fusion and Jormklar of the Intergalactic Anti-Fusion Alliance didn't want that information to get out so he sent a Jackie Chan impersonator to be the trigger man.
But I did try it out and shooting yourself in the temple while wearing properly applied handcuffs seems pretty hard. |

and people giving scenarios where they faked him shooting himself? seriously? did you forget that all officers have recording devices on their person and in their vehicle at all times? audio and video? believe you me, i dont agree with the overreach of power given to police and i dont agree with many things they do, but this is just a case of people placing blame where it doesnt belong. |

Well i just happen to live in Jonesboro and know the officer involved and on a personal level i cannot see him killing this guy. plus, ballistics tests will show that the bullet did not come from his gun. anyone saying that he was killed doesn't know what they are talking about. why would they even want to shoot him? i know the people out here, and it is way more plausible that the kid killed himself. the mom is understandably grief stricken, and in the low income part of town she lives in, everyone blames the po po for their problems. and like i said, i knew the two officers involved. they would never dream of doing this. there are some dicks in the JPD for sure, ive gotten pulled over by plenty. but why would any of them want to kill this guy? they have no motive. anyone saying they did is just wanting to incite trouble. |

there is no way this guy shot himself, no way the police missed a gun on him...where is the gun btw?

The cop changed his story. First he saw the pervert from 15 feet away ... then it was 50. They sound similar but the lawyers were very careful to make sure of each number.
Half the jury decided the cop lied or was too stupid to be believed - the other half were christian suburban white women who had the "if the cop said it it must be so even if he said conflicting things" mentality.
It was a Hung Jury {which is kind of funny in a Flasher Trial} |

If they found a gun on him, they could have used it to shoot him. It's not hard to fire a gun without getting traces of powder on you. A rubber glove and a plastic sheet will do the trick. The next step is getting the powder traces on the victim's hand. Once he's dead, you can remove the handcuffs, wrap his hand around the gun and fire it. Then put the cuffs back on the corpse and stuff him back in the car.
Let's see if they can get away with it. |
