And dynamo, no the federal government could *not* force houses of worship to perform gay marriages if that *private* house of worship does not believe in it. It could never happen. That's the whole point of separation of church and state.
The house of worship's doctrines are to help their members get to heaven, the state's duty is to treat everyone with justice under the law, two completely different responsibilities. |

Since "coitus" refers to heterosexual genital sex (with a penis and vagina, you know, the way babies are made) and everyone knows "arse" is the butt, then obviously "arsenokoitai" is "butt sex" between heterosexuals. The New Testament (you know, the Christ part) says men are not allowed to have butt sex with women but doesn't say anything about two men and what they do together, or even if it forbids butt sex, it doesn't say anything about guys blowing guys or handjobs.

I'd say it because that's what they think that ancient text says. What it actually says is unclear. In some places, what they've been told it says is simply made up. The clearest example of that is arsenokoitai. It's almost the entire basis for the claimed condemnation of homosexual sex in the new testament but in reality nobody knows what the word means. Seriously - it first appears in the NT and nowhere else, without any indication of meaning. Given that a fair bit of ancient Greek writing that mentions homosexual sex still exists and the word 'arsenokoitai' doesn't appear in any of it, I'm inclined to believe that's not what the word actually refers to. |

Some of the leftist literature suggests denying 501(c)3 organizations their status based on not following federal marriage guidelines, providing the federal government steps in and legalizes same-sex marriage.
Well, that would be the obvious next step. It probably wouldn't pass soon, but it would be the obvious next step.
When people want to fight, they don't stop if they're ahead on points at the end of the first round. They go on to another round, until their enemy is defeated. Since there can't be an end to group advocacy ("more for <x>" can't have an end point since there's always more), any fight based on it can't end.
If you want to end the fight, you have to end the group advocacy. If anyone is suggesting that, they're not making the news. |
