How is that being owned? The same could be said of the protestors. People keep saying that the rights of the gays should be respected, but what about the right of the CEO to feel the way he feels? It's a non-issue made extreme by attention seekers. |

Madman66- The statisic, while often quoted, is wildly inaccurate. WW2, WW1, American civil, Vietnam, all caused over 100 million deaths. Please show me the wars from religion that even comes close to that many. |

It's just annoying when religion is being imposed upon people who don't believe it. You shouldn't have to follow the religious rules of Muslim laws if you didn't belong to that religion, and nether should homosexuals if they don't believe in Christian laws.

This whole gay not gay thing is so... gay. Faggy if you ask me. Let them have constitutional rights. It shouldn't matter in the long run. Let em be... you may be right or you may be wrong. You don't know. Marriage should be left to those deciding. But if it is so important for those that are... lets say queers and women who have balls in there bellies... so important... then why does a simple piece of paper make you feel complete? Money. Gold. carmium: it IS the extremists...especially those who dont seem to ever have ready from the new testament of the bible when god pretty much revises the 10 commandments to "idgaf just love everyone like i do."
I'm a christian. i say if gay people wanna fondle each other in their respective funny places then let them; if someone doesn't believe in my god then so what? and if i want to fantasize about Halley Berry and J-Lo bucked naked in my kitchen, with a canister of whip cream each, ready for sexy time god wont judge me and may even by some miracle make it happen some day.
the problem is with extremists and with people who feel they need to argue with/about religion. atheist or not. if you leave something alone long enough it goes away. no exceptions. |

Altough religion caused many problems, science is just as guilty as religion for atrocities, and has a much higher body count.
It was science that really pushed the eugenics movement that led to a few million killed. Stalin was also an athiest. |

TDK_Master & whyteman & MadMan66: actually it is sin that hinders the progression of the human race and brings growth to the speed of molasses. Sin encompass such things as wickedness, hate, greed, selfishness, rudeness, mockery, etc. This is not exclusive to any religion, but is an epidemic in all things human related; here on IAB, on youtube, at your work, in your government, in others' government, etc. If there was no such thing as religion, you'd likely be complaining about the next thing (likely government) when it's sin that's the problem. |

I agree. Religion hinders the progression of the human race. As soon as the older generation dies off and the younger generation takes office, the battle for gay rights will be history and everyone will be treated equal. It WILL happen eventually. Religion is just hinder the progression and keeping people oppressed for longer. It's irritating... and I grew up in the church too |

No, it's not just extremists. That's the line we always hear when religist people start acting up, but it's everyone who buys into the nonsense that an intangible, invisible, inaudible presence runs everyone's lives, demanding our love under threat of eternal punishment. It's ancient foolishness for people who didn't understand how the world worked, and today provides no appreciable benefits beyond the "warm fuzzies" for its adherents. On the flip side it fosters attitudes of superiority, intolerance, hate, racism, terrorism, sexism, brutality - and the list goes on. There is EVERYTHING wrong with religion. |

It is. And it has been as Neil Degrasse Tyson has argued with early islam 9th and 12th century. We should be way more advanced than we are. Thanks to religion, progress is as molasses. |

Talon, in America, the primary opponents of gay marriage are non-white. Those are the same people that are also the most religious. I don't understand why black people would be afraid if some non-white people moved in. |

Does God's word also include ' Judge not , lest ye be judged'? And ' Love thy neighbour'? Guess these people would crap their pants if a few non-white gay people moved in next door. Especially if they were inter racial. Yet Christianity back in the bronze age allowed same family marriage. A man could marry his mother or his sister. No wonder this religious group is all f#@^ed up. To much inbreeding. |

If these were Muslims, it would be easier to explain to some of these people that they don't represent the whole religion. I wish they would have a story here about the two cheaters who just got stoned to death. Or the conviction of a Muslim family in the West who killed their daughter out of honor.
Basically, if you wish to honestly criticize religion, be consistent....because it could be a lot worse than these Chick Fil-A pussies. |
