I wouldn't have noticed anything different about her if the article wasn't about her being plus-size. I think she's probably just literally bigger (taller, thicker, like Amazon-woman-esque), not that she's really got much fat. He stomach is close to flat, and she still has a fairly hourglass figure. |

I think she is just as unrealistic as the slender girls.
She is slender. She isn't skinny.
Not many look this good I that size
I'd bet good money that "that size" is in the medically ideal range for her height.

Someone went looking at the data a little while ago, collecting the figures from the sizing guides on the websites of various shops. It really is a very silly system.

"Plus-size" in the fashion world is not what people normally think of when they think plus-size. You don't have to be fat to be plus-size in modelling, you just have to be a normal weight.
That's it in a nutshell.
Although I think she's probably under normal (i.e. average) weight for her height. I've just looked up her height - she's either 6' or 6'2", apparently.
Besides, dress sizes are fairly random anyway. It's a silly system.
Apparently her measurements are 99cm chest, 81cm waist and 110cm hips.
That could put her anywhere from 14 to 18, depending on where she shopped. Also what she was buying - different shops don't even have the same ratio for those three measurements. |
