Friday, August 03, 2012 7:23:31 AM @CC911: How does the Kool-Aid taste? He wasn't right behind her, he was across the street on a PUBLIC sidewalk, and the police had received a standing order to allow filming. Sounds like he was within his rights to me. As for disobeying a direct order, it would appear that it was an unlawful order, so he didn't really do anything wrong. He started walking away when they told him to, albeit slowly and while still filming, but he's just a normal civilian filming an event in public without disturbing, interfering, or obstructing anyone or anything. Cops are wrong here, period. |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 8:41:26 PM If you could look at it from the other side for just a moment... you are a cop, making an arrest of someone that presumably broke a law. There are several people in the immediate area, none of which you know their involvement with your arrestee.. as you are trying to do your job there is someone behind you. With the sick things we have seen lately, can you really tell me you would be comfortable with him standing behind you while you are working with a gun on your hip? Their goal is to make sure everyone goes home at the end of the day and part of that includes eliminating potenial threats from a scene where emotions are already running high. That police officer was well within her duties, she asked him to leave the area several times and was very professional about it. He disobeyed a direct order by a law enforcemnet official repeatedly and must suffer the consequence. Yes, you can videotape but you still cant impede justice. |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 8:01:02 PM Wow. What a bunch of douchebag cops. He wasn't violating any laws, and they harassed him. Stupid cops violate the very laws they swore to uphold. |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 7:18:43 PM threats from cops, and if they do unlawfully detain him they will say he was interfering. thats what they will say, but regardless of whether he was standing there or not, he was not interfering. cops love to bully people, and love to bully those with cameras. god forbid a tool they love to use against bad guys gets used against them for their bad behavior... 'Merica! |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 2:52:22 PM Some people REALLY enjoy pushing people around. In schools we call them bullies. When they grow up, too many of them take their bullying to the professional level and become cops. |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 1:21:11 PM Cops do bad and shameful things sometimes. But as a former student of history, I am happy to know we live in the 1% of societies ,among those have ever existed, that have reasonable laws and law enforcement. There's room for improvement, but be thankful you're not part of the 99%. |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 12:22:16 PM Wow, that guy wasn't doing anything. I believe he was standing on the sidewalk, well within his rights. Then they march towards him with cuffs before heading to their Bund meeting. |

Thursday, August 02, 2012 12:17:00 PM I like how all the cops, who they clearly needed to secure the woman on the ground, disband and follow the guy. What about the one they left with her... He's been ditched and is in deep poo now. She looked vicious. |
