Sunday, August 05, 2012 10:03:23 PM Take anyone with a criminal record or no college degree, strip them of citizenship and fling them over the border or straight into the lime pits. That's all fine and good, Drac, but then who's going to build the houses, fix the cars, or drive the trucks? Where you come from, do they offer degree programs in carpentry, engine diagnostics, or truck driving? Can you get a Bachelor of Science degree in roofing? How about heavy equipment operation? Good luck getting college graduates to clean the bathrooms and pick up the garbage. If we did things your way, within 2 weeks we'd all be up to our necks in $#!+. Here's some pre-college-level math that might explain your problem: arrogance + stupidity = liberalism |

Sunday, August 05, 2012 3:44:18 AM .... then logically, it would make sense to export Americans. Take anyone with a criminal record or no college degree, strip them of citizenship and fling them over the border or straight into the lime pits. |

Saturday, August 04, 2012 9:13:19 PM Modwain, the United States is not very exceptional in this whole greenhouse business. We emit more because we're a bigger country (transportation costs, large amount of farmland that feeds the world). If you compare to, say, Holland, it's a flawed comparison. There's such little farmland and goods barely need to be shipped. That's why the big Western countries, America, Canada, and Australia, are the biggest emitters per capita. Go to the wikipedia for greenhouse emissions per capita to compare. But in reference to illegal immigration, it depresses wages and keeps people poor. This is mostly due to the enormous labor supply that it creates. Employers don't even need to offer competitive salaries. |

Saturday, August 04, 2012 6:35:35 PM so, because they use more appliances in the states, just like all the other people in the states, they have a bigger global footprint then they would have had in their own country.. fair enough.. but basicly, what he is saying, is that people that live in america have a 4 time as big a global footprint as people that do not live in america, he only makes it sound as if it is an immegration problem.. good way to make the discussion go about something that isnt the problem but make it seem that it is the cause. Worst part of it is though, people will fall for this missinformation. owell |

Saturday, August 04, 2012 5:40:18 PM "Immigrants produce four times as many carbon emissions in the US than in their own countries." This is the stupidest sentence I've heard all month. |
