I just want to know how somebody could become so hateful toward a group of people who are generally peaceful. There is no precedent for his hate despite what his parents would have taught him about one or two passages from the bible. |

What I don't get is how Child Protective Services can take a child out of a home because of the parents white supremacist views, and being named Hitler, but they will not remove the children from this cesspool hate. |

Fred Phelps and his wife are banned from the UK, which is pretty hard to achieve.
It puts them in the same August company as Erich Gliebe (head of national alliance in the US - white supremacy), Wagdy Abd El Hamied Mohamed Ghoneim (mouthpiece for Hamas), Nasr Javed (senior member of Lashkar-e-Taiba who were responsible for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks), Nasr Javed (militant Iman with strong links to the Taliban).
Yup, the Phelps have achieved the near impossible - they got themselves banned from the UK - they wanted to pick a minor play in Hampshire about a man who was killed for being gay. |

I never got why they picket soldier's funerals? that is a bit hyprocritical... So these men and women are willing to take a bullet to ensure that WBC and all Americans have all the freedoms that we all take for granted. Yet they picket dead soldier funerals.. I am confused by this.. The only reason they get to say what they do and express their opinion is because of the sacrifices the military has made for close to 300 years..
You just have to shake your head at this.

My father a lawyer and a former democratic strategist in Kansas, met with Fred in 1971 to discuss his (Fred's) run for governor. My dad talked about that meeting for years he thought Fred was bat poo crazy.
