Thursday, July 26, 2012 12:26:02 AM He went as himself, not as Bruce Wayne or Batman. That's what makes it a nice gesture. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 9:03:22 PM UGH! More people making more poo out of a nice gesture. The man was trying to do the right thing and I am so sick of every single thread having some Derp calling it the work of the "Man". So next time you send grandma a Christmas card, am I to assume your trying to mock her religion? Good gravy! People really need to RELAX! |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 10:12:50 AM tedgp. I give up. There will always be sceptical people about, those who criticise every good or selfless deed performed by anyone. I bet you mock paramedics. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 8:43:55 AM Well said Wibble4321. I really dig that there are people smart enough to appreciate a kind gesture in itself without dwelling on what motivated it. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 8:30:34 AM Whatever does, or doesn't happen afterwards, the fact is that he cared enough to go and do it - whether people choose to exploit it, read into it whatever they will is irrelevant. You cannot run around worrying about how someone will interpret your good deeds and talking yourself out of them - just go ahead and do it. If you do it for the right reasons in your heart, screw what anyone else thinks. Good on him. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 4:57:20 AM I really dig how "smart" people really know what is going on and understand the motives that everybody has for their actions. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 4:19:01 AM @irockyeah you are still missing the point. It will still be used as a massive marketing campaign. Both for the movie and bales career. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 4:14:00 AM He could do that everyday for the rest of his life, it wouldn't change my opinion of Bale. Remember him screaming at the "worthless" guy on set who dared to interrupt him. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 4:10:15 AM Warner Bros said Bale was there of his own accord, nothing to do with the studio. Bale did it secretly as he didn't want any media there. All these photos are from camera phones and such. Maybe, just maybe, he did it because he cares? |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 3:59:38 AM Doesnt matter if he went in with camera crews, or if he went in off his own conscience. It's still a HUGE marketing opportunity, that the studios wont even need to do anything with. People will see Christian Bale do this, and think "aww. what a great guy", then think they must go watch the movie to show their appreciation. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 3:46:55 AM Bale is a real pal to do something like this, but he looks like a crazy person when he isn't on screen. Just saying. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 3:17:52 AM @tedgp I kinda disagree, it's not like he went in there with camera crews or paparazzi or whatever to make a public scene.. This was obviously just taken on a cellphone. It seems like a truly genuine attempt to do something decent. Respect, Mr. Bale, Respect. |

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 2:49:18 AM It's cool sure, but it has the downside of being a major publicity stunt for the movie. |

Tuesday, July 24, 2012 8:38:47 PM A small act, but at least one actor does something half way nice in the midst of a cruddy situation... not meaning that as bad to the other actors, just to make a crappy situation a little less so... kinda :( |

Tuesday, July 24, 2012 8:35:16 PM Well that's cool. Even if Christian Bale is totally bat poo (pun intended) crazy his own farking self. I wouldn't care to have a visit by him but this guy seems to be enjoying it. |
