"Is it possible? A good spammer?"
They might be if they were putting the information in a place that had more than 3 members in China, two of whom are straight chicks.

in Japan, my laundry machine has a long flexible pipe that I can put into my bath to suck up bathwater for cleaning laundry. It uses it for the initial cycle (when everything's still dirty anyway), then switches to clean water for the later cycles. Note that we don't use soap in the bath itself (clean outside the tub with the shower, then switch to the tub for soaking).

@Blackcat:

We are talking about THIS SET UP!

Yes, it is possible to use the water from the laundry to flush the toilet, but that is NOT what is happening here.

Don't be a douche just for the sake of being a douch, mmmkay?

I like it! But it must be a creepy feeling to sit underneath while it's spin-drying.

that's pretty awesome, but the problem i'm seeing is that you may need a storage bin to store the dirty wash water, because if you only do laundry once a week, that means you can only use the bathroom a few times that week, unless you want to not flush until you absolutely must.

You physically can not 'waste' water. Unless you shoot it into outerspace where we can not reach it anymore. Graphene filter = perfect water filter. 100% reusable, and also a practically indestructible material. Look it up.

Auburnjunky, how about using your own BRAIN and working out that you can plumb it however you like? Why do you have to go by what somebody else has done? Too dumb to use google? Oh, no sorry you're just American.

Looks lIke The tube that looks like it's running into the toilet is actually running up behind it from a t so that would mean the water flows up into the washer making it the cold water supply line for the washer. If you look to the right thats the main wter supply, and the line in is branched off that from the bottom behind the toilet. The other hose is the drain into the
waste water trunk to the left. Don't think the toilet plays a part at all. Dumb ass way to do it either way.

"except these new front load washers break down every 6 months.."

I've had mine 8 years, with no problems, and it doesn't stink either.

Take care of your appliances people! ;)

@Blackcat: If you notice, the drain goes to the sewer pipe on the left. That pipe coming from the toilet, is just an extension of the water intake that the toilet uses.

No water is saved here. They may not have washer hook ups, so they put it here to save space, and actually have a washing machine.

Bit of a clumsy set up- but a neat idea none the less.

There is no reason why you can't use waste water, or grey water from laundry to flush the loo, just plumb it in a bit better, like with the washer ON THE FLOOR in the next room would be good. All you MORONS who think it doesn't save water, it does, same water gets used twice, thus using less fresh water and if you have water meters you also save money. DUH.
