I see that things have gotten interesting during my absence. I guess I have to read up.
The bans here seem to be at the whim of whatever mod gets annoyed.
I was banned three or four years ago, because a mod wanted to prove that he could ban me at will, for no specific reason.
The "ban" lasted a few hours, and was lifted when I bitched directly to Fancy about it, but I had to raise holy hell to get something done about it... my profile is still blocked... three years later.
You guys ever going to get around to fixing that? |

Its one thing for us users to bring up the subject of Pmarren in thread discussion, but it's kinda douche-y for the mods to start/allow a feature about him, after banning him. You are trolling him and he cant respond. Imho.... |

I mod and co-admin at a well known forum (which I won't mention here) and I also run my own forum. Being a mod is a difficult thing, especially when you have to make tough decisions. Sometimes you get members who are constantly causing trouble but because we delete offensive posts and clean up messes, other folks often miss the worst behaviour. For every bad thing you see an offender doing, there is usually two or three other things that you missed.
I hate to see our resident cat hater banned, but I fully trust that the decision they made was made after careful consideration and after exhausting several attempts to correct the issues. You have to trust the mods guys. They really do have the best interest of the forums, in mind. |

Sure pmarren made some off comments. He was at time abrasive...rude.... vulgar. And yes, he has noticeable trouble digesting raw vegetables, but he did add something to the IAB experience. True genius breaks boundaries.
And obviously, his style is missed. |

Pmarren has made quite a number out of him self out here, it seems. Getting lots of bans, mailing with fancy backwards and forwards and all. Maybe i went to far calling 5Cats' post douchebaggery. But still, if he is out he is out. It's weird if i-a-b are bringing pmarren up like this, if they were so "tired of him"...?

Leave pmarren alone, he can't defend himself anymore. For the record, I think he was a bit of a troll/drama queen though. The whole cats=suck and other rants where to get under peoples skin, but there are way worse still here. If you like to ban for repeating the same comment, then (please)ban 8bithero. |
