Friday, July 20, 2012 12:10:32 PM On the rare occasion that I actually eat fast food, I try my best not to think about things like this. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 9:35:55 PM "...the company's stringer food handling policies." WTF is "stringer"? Are they trying to spell "stringent"? If so, they are no better at writing than managing young employees. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 6:39:09 PM If you care about the quality of your food you eat, you would not be in a fast food place. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 3:08:23 PM ""They don't pay you enough to care about the quality of food you produce..." " People that don't care about the quality of the food that they help make should be put down. They have no moral sense. I can understand if it is a rude, and thus worthy, customer. But giving innocent strangers tainted food just because you hate your job, life, and self should be cause for death. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 2:38:11 PM When someone I know worked at a fast food joint 8 years ago, they saw food prep guys pull scrap from the trash and put it on rude customer's food, or anyone else they thought deserved it. The police officer's who ate there every other day got the worst, most sickening food treatment of all... And everyone got the urine spiced root beer. Fast food joints are f-ed up for sure. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 2:22:31 PM "They don't pay you enough to care about the quality of food you produce..." Where exactly is that line? Exactly how much does a fast food worker have to earn to care?

Thursday, July 19, 2012 2:05:19 PM They don't pay you enough to care about the quality of food you produce you don't have an education, you are forced to do the lowest of jobs. you're not going to make $100k a year working at fast food. what should make you care about the quality of food is: A) wanting to remain employed, B) not wanting to be sued, C) morals. do you think the people packing food at the store are paid more? by your logic, you should only eat what you grow and catch/kill, don't trust anyone who handles food |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 1:19:30 PM People like to post their pics of things like this (Dominoes incident a while back) but what they fail to realize is that, by posting, people will see and people will track them down. The BK employees who took this pic were fired. And you can imagine the reference the employer would give to any potential future employers of those twats. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 12:33:27 PM Oh, and the "cleaning rag" they use to wipe off tables? Yeah, it's really just soaked in nasty gray foodwater that used to be full of soap, but since you've been using the same water for the last few hours is just as gross as the tables you're cleaning. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 12:31:53 PM Don't eat cheap food. I worked at a Big Boy, and the place was disgusting. If I dropped a utensil on the floor while I was running it to the rack, I just said f*ck it and put it away anyway. They don't pay you enough to care about the quality of food you produce...and when there's a veritable mountain of dirty dishes waiting to be done, you're not going to run something through a second time. You're also not going to wash your hands between scrubbing dirty dishes and handling the clean ones...because, again--there just isn't time for it. If the dishes aren't "clean", people aren't eating. If people aren't eating, they aren't happy. If people aren't happy, your manager will smite you with the mighty hammer of the gods. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 11:57:59 AM I worked at a Burger King in Michigan. I have never eaten at one since. I used to put the beef (if you could call it that) through the grill. Right at the front of the grill there was a mini-cooler that maintained a temperature only cold enough to prevent spoilage. One day I came in for my shift and someone had left the lid open. Normally the beef patties can be slapped together and they sound like bricks hitting, but the patties in the mini-cooler were almost goopy in consistency. I went to grab a patty and it simply fell apart and felt only slightly cooler than room temperature. When I told the manager we would have to throw away all the patties she asked if I was "f**king stupid?" and if I wanted the cost for new ones to come out of my paycheck. I refused to cook them so I was put on dishwash duty. I quit later that same week. Stuff like this happened ALL the time. |
