Saturday, July 21, 2012 1:26:02 AM First Nations is a crock . . . they were nomads living off the land. They had no concept of land ownership. Kinda like the so called palestinians . . . |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 9:47:42 AM We all trace our ancestry to Africa, so in that sense, yeah. As to why some parts of the world seem to have all the good stuff, 'Guns, Germs and Steel' is worth reading. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 9:31:40 AM @patchouly -> There are developed areas of Africa too. There would still be First Nations tribes living a basic hunter/gatherer life in North America today.. if we hadn't killed them all, or forced them to assimilate into OUR culture. Just sayin'. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 9:05:44 AM @carmium It was different for anyone else? Africa has alot of untapped resources. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 8:18:53 AM Patchouly: If life was hardscrabble and blazing hot, hunting and gathering, with maybe a small plot of root veggies, you probably wouldn't have much inclination to spend your spare time erecting temples or inventing vinyl siding. Jus' sayin'. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 7:31:40 AM @ McGovern1981, I often wonder about that when I see a documentary on the tribes living out in the jungle. Living in straw huts, throwing spears...Why haven't they ever tried to improve their living conditions? Why have they not improved, invented? What is different about them that makes them lack that urge to become better? |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 7:23:48 AM As a population, people in Africa have far more genetic diversity than everyone else in the entire world. However many non-Africans have some genes from intermixing with Neanderthals. And yet this happened....
Amazing. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 6:38:37 AM I think you guys are missing the point of the shirt. If a black person calls themselves African, even though they were born in Texas, their Mother and Father were born in New York and their Grandparents were from Detroit. Then they are American. If you are going to start going back to find linage, just how far do you go? Because if you go back far enough, we are technically all Africans. That's the point the shirt is trying to make (Of course, the shirt's argument isn't true but for the sake of explaining the shirt I'll go with it). |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 6:27:26 AM "The Bible says modern people are the result of incestuous relations Cain and his brothers had with their sisters. Science says we are all descendants of Africans. I believe science." --Richard Dawkins, from the back of that shirt. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 4:38:42 AM Ok we all share common ancestors who originate in Africa, for an explanation you could watch This video or just take my word for it. This has nothing to do with civilisations, just the beginnings of our ancestors migration. Having said that, it just means that is the most precocious douche bag t-shirt I have ever seen. I am sure the people of Uganda or Sudan will be impressed when she points out she is African just like them. |

Thursday, July 19, 2012 2:47:02 AM lol @ MacGuffin... I see what you did there... that said, it seems she is an Atheist as well... Or at least interested in the Atheist point of view. Christopher Hitchens was one of the great minds of Atheism.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 6:39:11 PM My GF is a deist and not a pole dancer. Well @LazyMe: She's half-perfect then! lolz! vv What @Angilion said. "From Africa" does not equate to "African" after 100,000 years (or whatever the exact number is).
