Thursday, July 19, 2012 7:17:12 AM @MacGuffin I am afraid that snide comments about mothers and what consitutes an actual world does not cover up the fact that you won't or can't back up what you say. Sir Spicious. As for it being a good way to get ignored, I think it did the opposite, no? |

Interesting, all the backup vocals are Keith, who is totally unrecognisable in this video. Is he on guitar in this video? There was one of the guitarists that I didn't recognise. I also didn't recognise the guy playing piano. |

How charming. It's just I'm used to people who are quite comfortable in justifying their viewpoints if they initially seem sketchy to me. Yes, but you'll find as you make your way in the world that other people aren't as accommodating as your mother. In the real world, petulantly demanding that people explain their opinions on trivial subjects such as musical taste to your satisfaction is just a good way to get ignored.

Based on what, exactly? You can't just shove words in his mouth because you don't like him and then use said shoved words to prove a suspect point. This just in: nobody owes you an explanation of their opinion. |

Yes, Simon Cowell would probably conclude these guys had no talent. Which just goes to show how little he knows. |

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 7:28:14 AM As A PS: I don't think the Stones are boring, bad, or otherwise worthy of negative comments. The Stones are one of the all time greats in my book. But if an act like this were to go on TV today, the quality of the music and the singing wouldn't make a difference to the audience. It's all about the show now. That's my point. Take a look at Christina Agulara (did I spell that right?). She puts on weight, and people are all over her. She's still the same performer doing the same music, but she's a little meatier now, so people give her a hard time. |

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 7:25:40 AM "wtf boring ? What about the moves and the outfits..? Please take your 2778 posts and leave the internet. FOREVER." Look at them. Everyone but Jagger looks like they'd rather be somewhere else--anywhere else. They are all wearing suit jackets, and are far too buttoned up for someone who's supposed to be a rocker. |

Thanks MacGuffin for your fine additions to this site. Didn't realise (realize for non-brits) that TheRolling Stones as a band are even older than me. You're welcome. And thanks for the compliment. |

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 4:31:38 AM Looks like a time when the music spoke for itself. Quite a boring act, but great music, and they were one of the super groups of the 60's. Today, this kind of act wouldn't even make it on America's Got Talent. |

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 12:44:36 AM Wow, that sure takes me back... It was Ed Sullivan, of the eponymous variety show, who asked the Stones to tone down the lyrics of their hit to "let's spend some TIME together" when they went on stage. Presumably, they said something like "Uh, roit." Jagger went along with it, but as they belted the sanitized lyrics into conservative homes across North America, he clearly rolled his eyes in disgust. Ed promptly banned the Stones from his show. Rock and roll: it was going to be the death of morality and civilization - did you know that? 8-D
