Wednesday, July 18, 2012 4:59:47 AM Must be a slow news day in Wexford if a bishop telling people to pray is front page news. |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 11:08:06 AM Latest info from the UK today suggests summer may (emphasis on may) arrive just in time for the games. |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 9:32:33 AM So the bishop really believes praying can influence something. Then why the drat isn't he asking people to pray for say a cure for cancer. I guess good bbq weather is more important than peoples lives. |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 8:56:42 AM Praying to god to actually do (or stop doing) something always struck me as odd. Presumably he has a plan and knows what he wants. Thinking your two-penneth matters shows a lack of humility. |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 8:41:04 AM This doesn't seam unreasonable for a bishop to do. |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 8:17:23 AM Religion is stupid. Keep up with the anti-religion threads. Lame, fake religions deserve no attention. Bunch of morons believing in the invisible, omnipotent, jewish zombie in the sky. BRAAAAAAAINS people, get some. |

@ FancyLad - bigfatdynamo has a point. We do have plenty of anti-religion threads. How about you let CrakrJak or one of the faithful pick a pro-religion thread? Of course, like all threads it's open to comment, but at least it's one the good side fo the force picked. |

Well? Why not? I mean, if you believe in God and you need it to stop raining well He'd be the Guy to ask, right? Who else ya gonna call? And if He doesn't answer your prayer, it's not 'cuase He didn't hear you, or He ignored you, or because he doesn exits, it's because your faith just isn't strong enough. In christianity, the bottom line is "You Suck". |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 7:06:31 AM The only thing that is archaic, fancylad, is the constant belittling of people who choose faith in deity instead of faith in the perceptible. We all have an epistemological problem in that we must trust one thing or another: deity, humanity, that which can be experienced. So I'll make a toast to another flame war - "May your opinions burn bright and your idiocy show clear!" |

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 6:45:27 AM Link: Headline Of The Day: Stop The Rain, God [Pic] [Rate Link] - I know they say prayer is powerful, but in 2012, doesn't this seem a little bit archaic? It's like praying for science. |
