I only ever read Battlefield Earth, when I was a kids, it was not awfull Sci Fi, but is pale and overblown when compared to greats like Asimov and Philip K. Then I learnt about Scientology, have hated Hubbard since. They try sneak in every where, then make you pay for your own brain washing. Insidious is the word I would have used to describe him. |

A friend showed me the leaked Tom Cruise video from 2008. My favorite part is where he talks about driving by accidents/emergencies and knows he has to stop and help because he's the only one who's actually capable.
Someone needs to make a reality show based on him. |

L. Ron Hubbard's sci-fi is interesting if your into heavy satire. I liked a couple of his works.

When I was a kid a friend who was a huge sci-fi fan and obsessively protective of his book collection gave me some L. Ron Hubbard books. That bad. I read a few pages of one, and kept them for a time I was bored. In the next three years I was never, at any point, that bored. I threw them out. |
