@whyteman. Look at the way the heavy truck that caused this accident was knocked ahead on impact. Backs up your reasoning...it took a pretty heavy vehicle to do that to that truck, and said heavy vehicle would have been much less responsive that a passenger vehicle....

Yeah @8BitHero: Rock reflexes sound slow, but if this guy had moved? He'd probably have been squished. One of the rare occasions where freezing in place is a good idea, eh? |

Judging from the camera angle it is mounted in a truck cab. The view tilts forward almost immediatly, so I suspect the driver hit the brakes as fast as he could. But you try stopping 30 tonnes of truck fast enough!

There was roughly 4 seconds to react. Judging from the angle of the camera the driver is driving a large vehicle. That is not alot of time to react with that much momentum. |
