Terrible feature. Instead of completely filling the front page daily, with the result that at least half the features put up are boring, stupid, inane garbage, just take a deep breath, think about it a little longer, and only put current, relevant, interesting quality features up. The front page may not completely change every day, but the site would improve dramatically, literally overnight.
tl;dr - quit mailing it in, Mods, and do a better job... |

Stupid names could be the result of idiots in the past mispelling. which is why you get variations on the same name -Thompson, Tomson. Same original name, but before spelling reformation, it was written down phonetically. |

drips: I hate stupid name spellings, too, but we got our 'normal' names from somewhere, and at some point, these were totally made-up names, also. There's more people in the world now, and not everyone's going to be named "Michael" and "Sarah" and "James" and "Lucy" all spelled non-retardedly. |
