if you REALLY want to change someone's life, do like they used to do for baptisms (and the reason people DID change their lives). hold the person under the water until they drown (or nearly drown) and then 'save' his life. theres a reason they call it being 'reborn.'
sprinkling water on the forehead is just symbolic of this, but for many, its lost all influence |

Yes because as we all know, you cant make good decisions by yourself. Its just not possible. Something symbolic has to happen to decide to make a life decision, yeah, thats their excuse. "Ill just comming, ehem, SIN, until I get dunked in water, then ill be good"
Learn to be a person, your own person. Learn that your moral compass is based on YOUR decisions, not some dump of water.
Oh yeah, the "saved" still commit crimes. So this, as with all religious crap, is worthless.

No, it's not so much a joyous occasion where one's soul has found happiness and salvation from eternal torment, but more like when a rookie mafia member is asked to shoot one of their captives: to prove he is one of the fold.
