To all the 'critics', keep hating haterz. This guy is has something ineffable that makes you want to listen. Dope music is often simple, but not simplistic, therein lies the genius. Have you considered that you are unable to decipher what it is that is dope about this? Thats the reason your own youtube music videos are in the 1000 something views range... |

I've been a fan and subscriber of Mike Thompkins for a long time. He can sing, guys, so lighten up.
And yes, he records each part separately. Go check out some of his other stuff. They're really well-made. |

Perhaps not autotune, but there is most definitely some pitch shifting on his vocals. Also, @plastinum, dubstep in general isn't much of a feat. Though I suppose that's kind of the point. |

not bad, but a good compressor, some chorus, distortion and a few other effects and as long as you aren't pitch deaf and have the timing to punch in the samples at the right time it's not that much of a feat.
I'd guess from listening 1 time and not going back to scrutinize it, he had quite a few samples pre-recorded. |

that was pretty damn awesome.
btw there was no autotune in there. there was some phase modulations but that is a totally different thing that is used with instruments more often than not. |
