I've worked with professional black people who STILL invert the k. I actually corrected one of them on it. "It's actually ASK." "Isn't that what I said? Aks." Look of recognition dawning. "Oh. Really?" "Yes. It's ask."
Don't know why but it seems to run pretty deep. |
