@SarahofBorg Apparently there is a need for PSAs like this. If the female drivers involved in those 500,000 accidents had watched this before they crashed, then I think it's fair to say a fair few of them would stop putting make up on whilst driving. |

@MacGuffin: It might be very different in the USA. We had an "IAB Arguement" about this a couple of years ago. In the USA the statistics are abused in the following way:
In every study that shows men are worse drivers (in the USA):
Big Rig drivers ARE counted in the deaths and accidents, but NOT counted in the miles driven by gender.
Completely bogus, in other words.
Even the NOW's own statistics, when looked at closely, show: Men twice as likely to have an accident, drive 3 times as much! Fatalities are another matter: when there IS an accident, the men tend to be driving faster <<NOT>> speeding! But more likely on a highway than inside the cities.
Men used to drive drunk a little more than women too, but idk if that's true after 1990...

No, as the graphic says, whilst men do drive more than women, women still have less accidents than men even when you're talking about per mile driven. Women have around a quarter of the number of fatalities in total as men do, and one half the number of fatalities as men per mile driven. |
