Sunday, July 08, 2012 7:11:47 AM "Gonna make a rough guess that those two are female. Only the male platypus is poisonous. I guess it's harder to breed when the female can accidentally kill you while you're trying to have your way with her eggs." Homework for the day, learn the difference between poisonous and venomous.... |

Saturday, July 07, 2012 8:24:45 PM These things hurt like Satan's d*ck when they inject you with their claw-venom. You should never pick up a platypus. Just a warning.. |

Saturday, July 07, 2012 8:41:01 AM >>>Cute with and without the shop. I want to hold one!!<<< It's funny how people and other mammals are genetically pre-disposed to find other baby mammals cute, isn't it? I did a psychology course as a 3rd subject at uni, and there was a section on how we're pre-disposed to find a disproportionately large head in relation to body size and disproportionately large eyes and ears to head size "cute" (which is how most infant mammals look). Those specific combinations bring out our protective/nurturing instincts. That's why we find baby platypi and Hello Kitty cute, but not infant c*ckroaches or newly-spawned bacteria. Damn you, mother nature, for messing with my head by pre-programming preconceived notions of cuteness into me!!! It's surprising there isn't a predator that's tapped into this fact by now and uses it to their advantage.

Saturday, July 07, 2012 8:01:48 AM Yeah, it's a shop - so what? You'd rather they'd annoyed the cute baby platypi by actually putting the hats on them in RL?:
