it wasnt just the 40 yo interview if you notice he referances many things from past and present that all deal with the issue of people not having the right to sing/play it the way they want to. |

I'm not just talking about remixing the national anthem silly. The FCC shouldn't have the authority that it does, and CP bans go WAY too far. Things I suspect most right-wingers DO support. |

@Cajun and @thelonious @BlankTom too: He (Zo) is saying that Repubs are champions for free speach, BUT get their panties in a twist when someone plays the National Anthem in an "unorthodox" style!
It's in G sharp major (an impossible key!) and the tune is from a drinking song, so we MUST respect it! (iirc, and lolz! Zo doesn't mention that though)
What Zo does say is that there's a HUGE difference between doing in 'freestyle' and disprespecting it. He's saying that 'right wingers' shouldn't whine when someone does what the right has been fighting for all these years: expresses themself freely.
He didn't mention Rosanne Barr, but HER version was disrespectful! - fyi. |

I think Jimi thought "unorthodox" was an insult. Which some knuckle draggers probably use it as. So there's that. |
