freebee*.. Really??? on purpose??? So what you're saying is he purposely packed his chute in such a manner so that it would fail to open and he would plunge nearly 500' to the ground... ya, that's exactly what happened... |

The way the jumper was shaking and seemed terrified and the lack of any kind or reaction from the camera man, this was on purpose. |

Buiadh all i can provide for you is the place "Konakovo" a russian district, the name of the jumper "Ivan" and the date of the event "march 8th 2012". I've searched on some english daily paper site but no luck, maybe you have better chance. |

LordJim yes he survive, i've read an article about this event but is in Italian. Also if you check on YT the description of the video say he survive...well he is certanly not in a good shape now but still alive. |

man, the guy was scared, his hands told the story there. But i've seen enough videos to tell that he was going about it the wrong way when he didn't have his parachute in hand already for the jump. That little thingy he released 1/2 way down should have been in his hand when he first jumped. hope the guy is OK. frig.. poor guy that would have hurt. |

While at 150m he's about at the minimum safe distance, but he's obviously not a seasoned diver, and either packed his 'chute wrong or just didn't have the experience to know when to pull his backup. |
