Wednesday, July 04, 2012 9:48:11 PM "If a guy has enough parking tickets to get booted, he deserves to be booted. I don't understand what makes some folks feel it's Ok to park where others aren't allowed." Actually in some states, Home Owners Associations can have cars booted for any violation of their multiple petty rules. Most of them are so vague and/or obscure that they can basically just boot cars at will. |

Wednesday, July 04, 2012 10:36:00 AM You know how your roads (in most cases) get re-paved and repaired from time to time? That's what makes it okay to pay for parking where you're allowed. Lots of city programs depend on parking revenue...also, if they didn't charge, people would leave cars in these spaces for weeks at a time. This photo could also be called "How to change a simple ticket into a warrant with quite a bit of effort." |

Wednesday, July 04, 2012 7:55:35 AM Boots cover the bolts and/or wheel cover, so unbolting your wheel is not an option. Maybe the parking patrol made a funny picture. |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 8:23:59 PM IF the boot is made like overseas junk...perhaps THIS will work? |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 8:18:17 PM This photo is def fake. Boots do not work like this. The only way out is to hit the gas, take it with you and pray for your soul without care for vehicle or police ensuing. |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 7:49:16 PM They won't just boot your car again.. They immediately tow it if you're a risk. |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 7:32:47 PM I sense the booted car belonged to a mechanic, or at least the guy had a friend who is one |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 6:10:54 PM @darkmagic14n : As others have said, with the lock on, you can't take off your wheel, so this is fake. The other problem is let's say you did remove it, and you did then buy another wheel. You are still liable for whatever reason you had it put on in the first place, so don't be surpirsed if a week later, you find another boot on your car. |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 3:51:57 PM actually, pretty smart its cheaper for a cheap rim and tire than it is to pay to get the boot taken off |
