Why is it funny when the poor and more fortunate ( I doubt he earned that car by working) are in the same pic, but this happens everyday and it's not so funny then.

No worries 5Cats. Glad to hear you have not gone insane. Although I don't think it would be that long of a trip for most of us here.

maybe that's the owner and he realized that this car takes high test gasoline and he can't afford to fill-er-up at $4.29 a gallon

@jamie & @markust: You have a better plan where NO ONE is poor? Please to let us know yes?

Jesus: couldn't stop poverty
Muhammed: said poverty is a blessing from Allah (couldn't stop it either)
Communism: tried KILLING ALL the poor people, wrecked the economy making even MORE poor people. Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro: every one of them had the same result.

FACT: A "poor" person in North America has: Food, shelter, safety and medical care WAY better than a poor person in 1000 AD. (that would be outside of North America, but you can include the Inac and Aztec if you like: THEY sacrificed the poor on their alters...)

AND as is pointed out: the majority of "beggers" are "professionals". ESPECIALLY in North America! Beggers don't typically have cell phones and $1000 worth of tattoos... ok?

emmettyville-"This is why I will never go to india or asia or china or even america, I couldn't bear to see the homeless and not give them everything I had."

Well, seeing as the homeless rate in Australia is higher than the United State's, that's kind of an asanine statement:

In the United States, 750,000 homeless in a population of ~313,863,494 (or 2.4 homeless per 1,000).

In Australia 105,000 homeless in a population of 22,659,636 (or 4.6 homeless per 1,000 people)

85% beggars in Beijing are professional beggars, only 15% are really poor people. There is a begging industry. Handicapped children are organized to work as professional beggers, and it's quite profitable.

When the child is not appropriately handicapped, there are quacks who will deliberately maim them so that they can earn more beggin.

There was a story I read of a beggar with a gaping leg wound. He took great care to make sure the wound was open as much as possible at all times as he begged for money. The image of the wound was that it ran from knee to ankle and was 4" accross at its widest.

The gentleman (or asswipe) with the lambo could give away everything he has..and that man would still be there doing what he is doing.

The guy on the floor is a photographer from the local motoring press taking a low-angle shot of the front wheel for his magazine. His camera-bag is a lightweight type of common availability, chosen to prevent him standing out in the crowd and having his camera stolen. The stick is to help himself to his feet; after too many low-angle shots the knees tend to get a bit dodgy.

Turns out there are times when it's ok to judge a person based on a single image. There is a horrible person in that car.

I really don't get this one. These are tourist shops in what looks like a decent part of town. Is the person on the left supposed to be poor? I thought that was someone getting a cool angle for a picture of that bad boy.
