Wednesday, July 04, 2012 11:28:39 AM LordJim, most Americans are embarrassed for people like this. This is the result of people incorporating patriotism with religion. It's false patriotism, though. They have no respect for the separation of church and state. They equate war with freedom. They believe taxes are tyranny. It's a grotesque display of weak-mindedness. |

Wednesday, July 04, 2012 10:17:31 AM I am not having a go but what is it about America and public declarations of patriotism? In the UK something like that (or a TV pundit getting tearful about how much he loves his country, or flag waving finales)would induce acute embarassment in the viewer. I mean, I gess we're as patriotic as anybody but it's not something we talk about. I love my mum, but I would feel daft singing about it, or emotionally announcing it on a public platform or wearing a t-shirt proclaiming it.

Wednesday, July 04, 2012 6:45:13 AM Good ol' cable access TV. No, wait a minute, f*ck cable access that sh|t sucks. I could only make it to the first repeat of the chorus. That being said there are many, many other people who are free, who have been free longer. The thing about lakes and mountains was nice though, although he ruined it with that off-key singing. |

Wednesday, July 04, 2012 2:31:28 AM People need to stop fighting for gov'ts that secretly could care less about their soldiers. Stop fighting for causes that hurt the world more than help it. |

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 10:24:25 PM Are you sure this guy doesn't?
Or how about him?
Maybe even him?
I'm fine with making jokes about a country, but when you make it about the whole country and not the it gets disrespectful to these people who are a part of that country. This could have been about any other country and still would have been disrespectful. To be clear I'm talking about the context of the post and not the content.

Tuesday, July 03, 2012 6:36:22 PM His parents are the kind that create the bad auditions on American Idol and America's Got Talent, etc... They are probably behind this (what seems to be) audition video. |
