I love how parts of it make you climb almost upside down, that is crazy

Damn; just come back from Groningen. Would have taken stickies and a harness if I'd known.

@T3hHippie -yes he is being belayed from below. This simulates typical climbing where you attach the rope to anchors on the rock face as you ascend, In this case you can see belaying points every two panels or so. In real life you cannot belay from above because someone has to be first to climb the rock face.

@techgeek07 yeah, on jupiter, pretty sure this is the largest structure ever, made by man or otherwise.

"why not climb a real mountain?"
well, while wall climbing and mountain climbing are both technically climbing, they are two different experiences really. wall climbs are mapped out by difficulty. there are probably at least 6 different climbing routes of varying difficulty on that wall. on a mountain, it is not mapped out, and there are not a lot of options on how to climb it.

There are cliffs a lot higher than that.

I'd probably fail at the easiest setting. I've done real rock climbing successfully but I fail miserably at those walls. They're just too flat.

Why not just go mountain climbing?

At what point do you just pay for a trip to a real mountain?

It doesn't look like that guy has any safety wire holding him up but he does have a wire attached to the ground, huh?

The far right looks like it could present a challenge. The rest looks "meh."
