Monday, July 02, 2012 11:05:02 AM This is why circumcision should be illegal. Or at least until you are old enough to consent to the decision. No major medical institution recommends it either. |

Monday, July 02, 2012 4:05:37 AM DShephard - If you hadn't been raised Christian I sincerely doubt that you would simply embrace it if it was introduced as a new concept to you when you were 18. A baby is like a sponge - it absorbs all stimulus around it and has to learn everything about the nature of existence, the world and the universe in its formative years. If you ply it with nonsense fairy stories as fact during these years then it is very difficult for the child and adult to accept these as nonsense later on. The problem is even worse for individuals under very strict fundamentalist religions where I believe the shock of letting go of the lies that have been drilled in to them is simply too great. Not to mention the enormous regret of living a wasted life of servitude to a non-existent imaginary slave-master. (As you can see I have strong feelings on this matter - please don't take me as preaching against your own beliefs - every adult is free to do as they wish - but teaching children religion is child abuse.) |

Sunday, July 01, 2012 10:10:56 AM My girlfriend was forced by her parents to be a catholic and has never seen herself as one. So she doesn't accept the Catholic teachings. I was raised Christian, but the ideas were never forced upon me, I accepted them on my own terms. That's the way it works, you're never forced to think one way or another, because that would be the peak of unamericanism. Besides, what's the real point of this post? If its a baby its not going to care one way or another.. |

Sunday, July 01, 2012 8:13:42 AM "long story short, if just one of that baby's parents are faithful followers of Christ than basically that baby is good with Jesus too." Being "good with Jesus" doesn't make a person (or a baby) a Christian. Accepting that Jesus is the son of God and died for the sins of mankind makes a person Christian. And this is something that NO ONE is born with. For years, when people ask my what made me atheist, I have pointed out to them that we are all born atheist, I just never changed my position.

Saturday, June 30, 2012 9:35:54 PM TonyGCleff, by the logic the baby is also republican. Heck, if the parents are part of AARP, does that mean the baby is a AARP member? Babies aren't part of any groups that aren't legally defined or genetically based. Babies aren't christian because Christianity is neither an ethnicity nor a nationality. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 5:37:39 PM The baby on the right is a Christian baby just as a newly born baby in America is an American baby simply for the fact that they are both born INTO their respective groups. The baby didn't choose either scenario, the parents did, but it doesn't make it any less true. Regardless, I agree with djlazar, this post sucks. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 4:27:36 PM MacGuffin: Scotland remains part of Great Britain, aka The United Kingdom. You may have a separate state, but you're still part of the whole. |

I was "Close Enough" ...but not for @MacGuffin in all likelyhood: "See! You didn't do the hand motions while you typed it! Mr Pants On Fire!" (Note: if you watch the video, or remember the skit, the 'frenchman' has an elaborate taunting involving fart noises and funny hand gestures. One simply cannot replicate these gestures WHILE TYPING! lolz!) Hey @MacGuffin, at least you're doing better than poor @markust 123... He's given up entirely! lolz! |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 4:10:59 PM I'm a Scottish idiot I lolz'd! Um, it's a Monty Python quote, eh? iirc the proper quote is "silly English ka-niiiigit!" eh? See? I AM Canadian, eh? Proof positive. Oh, I know HOW to talk smack, but rarely choose to do so. Doesn't "Whizzing realty" sound familiar to you? SMACK! (ps I know full well you're Scottish, but that's not in the Monty Python skit) (pps I also know it pushes a Scotsman's buttons to be confused with the English, or worse the Welsh!) |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 3:13:37 PM Now go away silly English person I'm Scottish, idiot - it's a completely different country to England. And, unlike your equally-uninformed pal Crakr believes, no, Scotland is not "part of England". You really don't even know you're doing it, talking crap, do you? You don't even have 5 cats, FFS: you've got 2! I bet you're not even Canadian!! |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 3:02:14 PM Furthermore @MacGuffin: Why do you ignore what I posted and continue to gripe about the past? How can you ignore the reality whizzing over your head like that? Now go away silly English person, or I shall taunt you a second time! |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 3:00:01 PM once you've been exposed to a few dozen or so of 5Cats' 'facts'. Ok @MacGuffin, you wanna play "face the facts"? Here we go: Fact #1: I said "I saw a docco about a horrible women's prison in England" Fact #2: You said: Which prison was it? Fact #3: I said: I don't remember, and cannot find it after a search. Fact #4: You said: 5Cats is a liar. You can go retrieve the thread if you like, but you B1TCHED about that for days, so I don't doubt you'll recall it. However I was too polite to point out: Fact#3 does NOT disprove Fact#1. I saw that docco, period. So it is YOU who lies @MacGuffin, and continues to mistake "fact" and "opinion" for your own personal narcessism. Also: you fail to disprove anything in my post, so "I am a pretty little girl"! |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 3:00:01 PM @Steelgrid, some people will look at this and say "THAT WAS COOL" Last time I checked IAB is for many different people who enjoy many different things, not just you. Some people will enjoy this post and find it humorous. I know I do. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 2:41:24 PM I would call what 5Cats just said an opinion. So would I. That doesn't change what I just said about the 'facts' he regularly asserts to be correct, that equally regularly turn out to be true nowhere but in his own mind. |
