i love that our language is what it is, all you yanks fcuk it up, like a bunch of inbred mongs, the aussies do ok with it, and the rest of the world need to catch up and speak our tongue, so fix up and look sharp ffs  |

Ok I know a lot of this is going to be bleeped out but.
One of the drating great things about the drating English language is that you can drating put drating wherever you drat want and it still makes drating sense. |

If you think that's bad you've never seen the Chinese Poem "Lion-Eating Poet in the Stone Den". It's a 92 character poem where every syllable is the sound "shi" but in different tones.

We like to act like other languages don't have this kind of stuff going on. I picked up a book on learning Chinese once, and it warned that up front that it wasn't easy. As an example, it gave a certain monosyllable that meant fish, itchy, shopping, hammer, wheel - or something like that, anyway. Context and inflection were the only ways to distinguish at least six common words from one another.
Do you prefer German? You have to remember which of THREE genders every noun in the language has.
French has horribly cumbersome conjugations of verbs - all the common ones being "irregular" - compared to English's "building block" system:
I have run/I might have run/I could have run, etc. It's a different conjugation for each in France!
So we tend to have odd spellings and things - it's not the worst thing in learning a new language!

Idlerlee2, I believe the caption is suppose to be like a title, as in the title of a book/the title of a link on the site. So -most- of the words should be capitalied, but not all.
I have a -huge- problem with words. I hate so many of them. I also read a lot, so I get annoyed when an author uses some words too often, like defile(s) and orient(ed). But what really bothers me is.. hmm. Say the word colon properly. Now say colonic properly. And there are so many other words I know but can't come up with just now... And yet words like acrobat and acrobatic work just fine. |

But other languages have genders for every damn thing and it's tricky to remember them because in one language bridge can be male and in another female. |
