Saturday, June 30, 2012 9:15:28 AM Good attempt, but i can't shake the feeling that he's playing too "stiffly". It gives the riffs the wrong vibe and more importantly it doesnt give off any real feeling as the riff had originally intended. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 7:51:59 AM 44 Neil Young's a Winnipeg boy Pretty much EVERY tune is both familiar and good. 12 minutes well spent, thanks @fancylad! But BOC is #1! 58 is one of my all-time favorite too... 65: Ok, don't know this one at all! 71 another all-time fave! 79: Nope, don't know this one either... and after this I recognise the tunes, but few of the bands / songs (by name). That's all folks! |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 7:39:39 AM vv @korahn I think he was trying to get the "technique" right, rather than play the song. I found his playing easier to "pick out" the riff than many origional versions. Oh yeah, I'm totally a guitar expert! Or not! lmao So it's just MHO. Hi @enolamron: welcome to IAB! Even if you've been here for ages, eh? Favorites: But by no means are ANY of these tunes NOT terrific! 29! 32, 33, 34... 37! Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear The Reaper" !!! & etc... |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 12:25:04 AM A couple of them sounded a little off to me, but still at least 273 times better than I could ever hope to do. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 12:24:23 AM ,@patchouly - I would never have noticed the guitar head in that picture if you hadn't said there was something guitar related there. It was like the shortest & smallest (what, 50x50px.?) game of Where's Waldo game ever, and I've seen that picture a good number of times. ...Wait, let me make that less creepy. I've been a member here for probably ~a year, but I lurked for probably around 8 years before joining - just never wanted to comment, just to view links, until recently-ish. Anyway, when I read comments, I often click the avatar to see if appearance matches a guess. So, hopefully I seem a little less creepy and not moreso. So, hi guys! Long time lurker, short time member here. Hi, I'm Steve, and I'm an I-A-B addict! Back to the link really quickly before I am out of characters, I thought it sounded relatively good, bordering on very good. I only didn't know 2 or 3 songs, and they were the only ones I couldn't name without looking. Good song choice, too. All aroind |

Friday, June 29, 2012 11:59:59 PM Since we're all faulting our guitar skills and ability to use percentages, I'll say "As a guitarist, I'd say he got 80-90% pretty dead-on.{ |

Friday, June 29, 2012 9:50:46 PM I'm a guitarist as well (As you can see from my avatar). Spent 7 years on the road, taught for 3 years and now I run a guitar forum and also help out at Music Player Magazine's forums. Not that any of that is relative, but I thought I'd share seeing how there are a few of us here! Anyway, regarding the video, I thought he did a great job. |

Friday, June 29, 2012 8:32:06 PM As yet another guitarist, I thought his tone throughout the video was pretty perfect. And I liked the song choices for the most part. I think there were a lot more bands he could have drawn from to represent the 2000's, however. |

Friday, June 29, 2012 7:29:37 PM I'm another guitarist, I-A-B has a few eh? I was impressed with his dedication and it made me go and listen to a few songs I haven't in a while which is always good. Some questionable choices in there - I don't think many people will be talking about Franz Ferdinand (the band that is, world wars tend to stick in the memory for a while) in 20 years time |

Friday, June 29, 2012 6:19:27 PM As another guitar player, I'd say it's closer to 60%. Some were in the wrong key, others were just bad voicings. (played in the wrong area of the neck) I was impressed that he actually knew the right way to play Smoke On the Water. Most just play the bar chords. |
